WEEE Recycling & Disposal Service
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require that all UK retailers of electrical goods assist in delivering a UK wide collection and recycling system to encourage consumers to recycle old or unwanted electronic equipment.
There are a number of options you can choose to comply with the WEEE Regulations. First, you can either take the electrical item to your local council recycling centre or you can contact them to arrange a home collection, the council may charge for this service. In addition, you can take the item into one of our stores. Please call us prior to visiting to arrange this with one of our customer service team.
The WEEE Directive aims to reduce electronic waste by recycling old or unwanted items and consumer awareness is an integral part of this. Unwanted electrical items must not be placed into your normal domestic waste.
Under the Waste Battery Regulations, we provide a return service for all portable waste batteries, which can be brought into one of our stores in person. Alternatively, most supermarkets and large shops that sell batteries have collection bins for waste batteries. Some local government and council locations also offer a return service.
