Use Cable Trunking

Cable trunking is another great way to do away with unsightly wires. It’s especially recommended if you have a wall-mounted TV. Essentially, cable trunking is designed to hold your TV’s cables close to the wall, creating the sense that they’re not there. Once you have used trunks to hide your cables, you can then paint over them in the same colour as the rest of your walls

Cable trunks are a great option for creating an invisible look to your TV’s cables. When used with a wall-mounted TV, it almost makes it look totally wireless!

Why Should You Tidy TV Cables?

Outside of making your home look much tidier, cleaning up your TV’s cables is also essential for your safety and the safety of your TV. Don’t forget that plugs will generate a small amount of heat that will naturally dissipate into the air. However, if the plugs behind your TV are buried beneath a mountain of wires, it becomes much harder for this heat to escape. In the most extreme cases, this could result in a fire. Otherwise, it could still do direct damage to any number of your cables, and damage your TV or your input devices.

It’s important to keep your TV’s cables as tidy as you can. Bundled and tangled cables can very easily become a fire risk if they’re not properly managed. The cables themselves also run the risk of breaking.

You should also tidy your cables so that they are safe from fraying. Generally, cables begin to fray when they are forced into awkward positions for too long.
